Our Mission:
The Dynamic was created in the hopes of educating the youth on global issues through the gathering of and exposure to contrasting perspectives. Due to the nature of many global issues, it is difficult to understand and sympathise with an individual matter without having a direct affiliation to it, or understanding the perspectives of those who do. The modern media often provides a biased account of developing events, so we wanted to find a way to better reach out and gain different perspectives from people who have been exposed to and lived the divisive issues that both interest us and other youth.

What We Do:
The Dynamic was founded by two students living in London, Felipe Dreesmann and Rafael Gil-Alberdi. We realised that many global issues we would try to understand had been simplified, both in the media and in school, leaving us with a limited understanding of these crucial matters. To try to combat this, we decided to create a website where we could reach out to people with first-hand knowledge to share their perspectives, whilst also promoting the work of many writers to achieve breadth in both opinions and topics.
Felipe Dreesmann
Co - Founder
My name is Felipe Dreesmann and I am the co-founder of The Dynamic together with Rafael. The Dynamic was created to serve as a platform on which contrasting perspectives on global issues, instilled in us by our respective societies and cultures, are challenged by those with different perspectives and insight. I am most interested in politics and social issues and the way these pertain on a wider world context. I hope that, through my work with the dynamic, my views on these interests are challenged and my opinions broadened.
Rafael Gil-Alberdi
Co - Founder
My name is Rafael Gil-Alberdi and I am co-founder of The Dynamic together with Felipe. In the midst of quarantine in 2020,
conversations surrounding politics and humanitarian issues have become ever more present; It became very apparent to me that there was a craving for expression amongst the youth, but never quite the right platform. To me, co-founding
'The Dynamic' represented the opening of a pathway for the future of our generation and allowing voices to be heard free from criticism.
Silvia Gil-Alberdi
Managing Director
I began working in The Dynamic soon after it was founded as I was keen to research and share information about areas that interested me and were having significant global effects. Taking over has allowed me to develop my leadership and creativity as I constantly seek for new ways to improve the website. I hope to be able to encourage, challenge and inspire the younger generations to share their opinions in a confident and articulated manner, so that they can take this knowledge and be able to engage in intellectual conversations with a range of different people.
Juan Miranda
Writer
Because I was taking such STEM oriented subjects within school, I decided to be a part of the Dynamic to explore areas beyond my curriculum and to discover my own voice in our ever changing society. I hope to find the interconnection of self expression and current affairs by debating a range of perspectives within this student led environment.
Dominik Procházka
Media Manager
My name is Dominik Procházka and I live in Pardubice, Czech Republic. I am 16 years old and currently attend grammar school Gymnázium, Pardubice, Dašická, 1083. I am interested in sports, art, modern technologies, global politics, and geography. I think it is important to address the social and environmental issues of the present and provide space for both sides to express their opinions so that the reader comes to a better understanding of the problem. This is something we often lack in our society and that is why I decided to join The Dynamic and help with how their message is perceived.
Miguel Ocampo
Media Manager
My name is Miguel Ocampo, and I am Head of Media Management at The Dynamic. I was born in New York City, moved to Buenos Aires and later to London where I currently live and go to school. Being exposed to numerous political climates unique to each of these countries offered me the opportunity to understand them more thoroughly.
I’m particularly interested in geopolitics, economics and also global business. I believe that through The Dynamic, my colleagues and I pose unbiased arguments. As the public is becoming more polarised and platforms are combating environments of unprogressive discourse, I’m deeply committed to try to enhance and elevate The Dynamic’s objective reach.
Mimi Tarantelli
Writer
My name is Mimi Tarantelli, I chose to write for The Dynamic as I love having engaging conversations where you are able to hear multiple views on a topic and then can form your own informed opinion. I have a particular interest in the environment and climate change: in terms of new policies implemented or actions taken. I also am interested in global politics and comparing systems between different countries. I believe in order to be fully educated on any important topic, you must first understand both sides and that is why the Dynamic is so important, it offers an unbiased source of information.
Cecilia Hult
Writer
My name is Cecilia Hult, I am highly interested in politics, human geography and the intersection between the two - looking at how peoples' economic and cultural backgrounds influence not just their political opinions but the opinions they have access to. I find political and social debates often lack developed opinions on both sides of an argument. I am excited to write for the Dynamic as it allows me interview educated individuals to hear perspectives for the other sides of these arguments and develop fully informed conclusions, whilst also allowing me to research and explore my personal interests and opinions on a public platform.
Jake Tuckey
Writer
My name is Jake Tuckey, and I am a student at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. From a young age, I’ve always been strongly interested in political discourse. Forming the foundation of decision making in a broader sense, the debate on each individual issue holds immeasurable potential for analysis and understanding. Strongly aligned with their sense of integrity and consistency in reporting on said issues, I decided to join the team at The Dynamic to express myself freely and amplify stories I believe deserve to be heard.

André de Botton
Writer
My name is André de Botton and I live in Cascais, Portugal. Since a young age I have taken pleasure in knowing and debating about current geopolitics events taking place globally. The political discourse present in newspapers sparked interest in me but was often confusing and biased as I felt that differing perspectives refused to discuss a contentious topic in a constructive manner. That is why I joined The Dynamic, as it is a public platform which truly provided a space for me to pursue my own interests, understand the others' side arguments and arrive at an objective conclusion.

Kalyan Reddy
Writer
Hi, my name is Kalyan Reddy, I have a great interest in both economics and politics, and especially the convergence of these fields - studying the influence of markets on politics, and policy on markets. Political discourse, by nature, is founded on informed argument between differing perspectives. The Dynamic represents an environment that facilitates such expression and constructive discourse that other fora perhaps fail to create, primarily as there are few platforms that allow educated discussion of global issues among our generation. Interviewing and writing for the platform allows me to expose myself to a broader spectrum of political and economic perspectives, further developing my worldview and allowing me to explore and express my interests in a public forum.
Mariana Henriques Martins
Writer
My name is Mariana Henriques Martins and I am from Porto, Portugal. My background is in History, especially in eighteenth-century Enlightenment thinking, which moulded modernity. Examining how modern science and modern philosophy influenced western reality and, therefore, raised some of the most fundamental debates to this day is at the core of my research. I strongly believe the study of the past to be essential in understanding the present more profoundly. With this understanding, I wanted to join The Dynamic. It is a great opportunity to apply this knowledge in a platform that seeks to create reliable and informed content on current global politics.
